On this page, we are going to dive deeper into the rules of combat: when is your turn to move?

Rules Of Combat:

  1. At the start of every round, there’s a spell casting phase.

  1. After the spell casting phase, the physical attack phase starts.

  2. The attack/casting order for physical attacks and spell casting is the same. The front row always goes first.

Using the image on the right as an example, the front row attacks start from slot #1 until slot #4. Followed by the back row starting from slot #5 until slot #8.

In the opponent’s case, the order of attack starts from slot letter A until slot letter H.

However, combat isn’t exactly one-sided, so both player and opponent take turns attacking each other. This means slots #1 and letter A will go first, then slots #2 and letter B, and so forth. If there are two heroes in the same slot, the hero with higher energy cost attacks first.

In the given example, Sensei’s Ranger (#1) has 10 energy cost, while ROBOT’s Druid (A) has 19 energy cost. Therefore, the Druid will always attack first before the Ranger in every round.

Being able to strike first may give you a huge combat advantage.

Tips & Tricks

<aside> 💡 Put your strongest heroes on the left-most side while putting your weakest heroes on the right-most side.

This way, you’re always trying to have the initiative to attack first. Weak heroes might die immediately.

Some heroes might not be suitable in dealing physical attacks, but they have crucial abilities that swing the tide of battle (Hurricane, Mind Control, Chain Trap, etc)

Take your time in positioning heroes, and good luck with the grind!
